Olantagliano is a neologistic contamination of Olan(da) Italian unofficial name for Netherlands like Holland in English. Actually a “pars pro toto” and wrong since I lived only shortly in one of the two provinces (North- and South-) with Holland in it. In 1977 during conscription I worked near and stayed from Monday to Friday in Den Haag (it: l’Aja = en:The Hague).
The second part of the name tagliano is Italian for “they cut” so this blog is titled more or less “Dutch (people) cut”. It refers to one of the chores I have here: cutting grapes.
